It's easy to wake up, get dressed, head to work, come home and repeat. But, if you live in a wonderful area like we do, that day-to-day eat sleep repeat lifestyle seems almost wasted. We have such a diverse amount of talent in the South Georgian Bay bubble and for me, I wake up feeling so grateful for the fresh water, the lush hills and forests and of course the hardworking small business owners that truly bring our community together and make it so dang special.

One local business that resonated with me was blink eyewear, owned and operated by the lovely Jessica Strype. I met Jessie one early morning at Press Juice Co., as I blended up her green smoothie and we chatted about all things life, food, travels, her eyewear shop and her wicked sunglasses (this girl can pull anything off). It was after our first interaction that I knew we'd be friends, and that I needed to pop in and check out her inventory ASAP. If I had any chance of looking as fly as she did, it was the place to start.

Jessie opened the doors to blink eyewear in September of 2014, ready to bring unique collections, small-batch + handmade frames, and personalized consultations to the quaint town of Collingwood, Ontario. At blink, no two frames are alike. Jessie strives to bring one-of-a-kind opticals & sunglasses into her shop - that's right! Once she finds a home for a frame, it is never ordered again. This keeps the investment special to you and unique to YOU.

To spice things up as we waded into hot days, blink hosted an Andy Wolf Eyewear pop-up event that brought in over 400 different styles of handcrafted Austrian frames. I had the pleasure of browsing the collection pre-party and I was in absolute awe - such stunning pieces and quality craftsmanship. It was hard for me to choose just one pair because there was truly something for every day, every look and every client. Jessie teamed up with Andy Wolf Sales Rep, Michelle Villeneuve, and the two of them brought the heat all day with this collection + personalized consultations. Well done, ladies!

For me, when I'm making an investment (and come on guys, our eyes are important), I want to feel confident, educated and excited about that purchase. I can 100% say that Jessie will strive to give you that from the minute you walk through the door to the minute you leave. Her flare for fashion and design compliments her educational background beautifully - giving you the one-on-one experience you deserve.

If you haven't, I highly suggest popping into the shop the next time you're in the market for a new pair of specs, or looking for some hip sunnies.
